About CardPlay

Why CardPlay exists

If you collect Simplified Chinese Pokémon cards or Japanese One Piece singles, you already know the problem. The big platforms weren't built for you. Listings are hard to find, condition standards are inconsistent, and buying from overseas sellers often means crossing your fingers and hoping for the best.

CardPlay is a marketplace built specifically for these cards — with condition photos, vetted sellers, and a checkout flow designed around the way TCG collectors actually buy and sell. Not an afterthought on a platform that was built for something else.

Built by a collector, for collectors

CardPlay is a solo project. There's no VC funding, no growth team, no roadmap driven by ad revenue. Just someone who cares about this hobby and got frustrated enough to build something better.

That means decisions get made based on what's actually good for buyers and sellers — not what looks good in a quarterly report. It also means things move at a human pace, and feedback actually goes somewhere.

Where we are right now

CardPlay is in early access. The catalog covers Simplified Chinese Pokémon sets and Japanese One Piece sets, with more on the way. Sellers are hand-approved — every shop on the platform has been reviewed before going live.

There's still a lot to build. But the foundation is solid, and the direction is clear. If you're here early, thank you — you're helping shape what this becomes.
